Love the photos you've posted here. What a difference a year makes, eh? And next year will be another leap in Addie's evolution. She'll be at her cutest and most loving between the ages of 2 and 5, not that things will fall off suddenly after that, but humans just naturally become more centric thereafter, and societal expectations begin to gradually wear on us as we enter school, assume more responsibilities, and experience others' wrath borne of their own life experiences and personal greed. With luck, that baggage will be minimized, and overshadowed by the presence of happy, loving, and supportive individuals.
I couldn't believe I got such similar shots exactly a year apart--in the same location of the living room, wearing the same colors even! Zoe looks the same of course, although maybe a little more weary in the eyes. She is such a good, patient little dog.
Addie is a cute love-bug right now. Although she is also quite the stubborn firecracker. Kaede says she is just being a good Johnson. :)

Yes, John, poor Zoe indeed. But sometimes I think she cares for Addie more than she lets on.
